I guess it's about time I did this, huh?

Hey, so- I'm back! If anybody remembers seeing a little fluffy pink dragon, that was me. Sorry if I caused any trouble, and thanks to everyone who helped me out. I owe you big time! I don't think I got everyone's names, though, so... feel like introducing yourselves? And Haruki, am I still allowed in the Brigade or what?

I see... so you fulfill your three wishes whether you were aware of it or not. I've never heard of a world with a system like that before; it almost sounds like something out of a legend or a fairytale.

Some people believe that's all it is, I think. But it's something I've always put faith into.

I don't see anything wrong in putting your faith in something that gives you hope.

Does your world have a god or a guardian like that?

I'm afraid not, unless you count the Valkynes Criaths. But those are less deities and more things that are essential to life in our world. I suppose you could say people put their faith in them in that sense.

Essential to life? What do you mean?

They help control and channel the flow of arles into the world. Without them, the land would be a barren wasteland devoid of life. That's why the people hold them in such great regard, and why they're considered the treasures of their countries.

Wow... that's amazing. The Chief of Heaven just handles wishes and death, nothing like the... what's "arles"?

Think of it as the lifeblood of my world, the power that allows the existence of all life.

It isn't exactly worshiped, but it is revered... though I suspect that's not quite what you had in mind.

Well... there are churches in every region devoted to worshipping the Chief of Heaven.

Would you mind telling me more about him? I'm always curious to hear about other worlds and what they're like in comparison to my own. It's surprising how many similarities some worlds have, actually.

I could tell you about the legend of the Seven Ghosts, if you want. It makes for a good story!

Let's see... one thousand years ago, Verloren, the God of Death, sinned against the Chief of Heaven by killing his daughter. The Chief of Heaven banished him from the sky, so he wandered the world and created so much misfortune, that the Chief sent what we call "The Seven Ghosts". With their power, they were able to seal away Verloren's powers and stop the misfortune he brought to the world.

It wasn't a perfect fix, though- Verloren still sends demons and evil beings from his prison to influence people and get them to sin, so he can consume their souls. That's why the church was formed, and the bishops ordained- they're the only ones who can remove the Curse of Verloren.
