[So with Teito gone and Shuri being all /brb not talking to you, Mikage has been kind of lonely as of late, though in typical Mikage fashion, he's doing his best to keep it under wraps. No point in making everyone around him just as miserable, right? Right. So to get himself out and about, he's chilling out at the fountain in the plaza, doodling pictures in his journal. He's not exactly an artist, but he'll be making decently shaped little caricatures of anyone who wanders by the fountain and trying to strike up a conversation if they don't rocket past him or ignore him or something. Go go socializing power!]

[Hello, Richard, Mikage sees you passing by! And at first glance you look like a very tall blonde woman, so that is what he's going to draw.]

[It's a moment before he notices Mikage, but when he does, he offers a tired smile in greeting.]

[AH THAT WOMAN HAS A MAN'S VOI- oh, it's that guy.] Hey, Richard! You shouldn't be so formal, you know.

Mikage, then. I haven't spoken to you in a while... have you been well?

[fyulong]

Not bad, I guess. I can't really complain. [You know, besides the whole best friend disappearing and all.]

[Oh, he knows that feeling-- just replace "best friend" with "boyfriend" and it's the same situation.]

This weather is a nice change from how cold it was for the past few days.

[Yay for small talk. It's a good distraction when you have things on your mind!]

[Mikage shrugs, colouring in Richard's hair.] I didn't really notice a difference.

Perhaps I'm just used to warmer temperatures.

[And then he notices what Mikage is doing and comes closer to see.]

Are you an artist, Mikage?

[Mikage blinks at that, then holds up the journal. Drawn!Richard is rather stylized and kind of. Curvaceous. Particularly his hair.] Not really, but I thought it would be fun to try!

[Richard just sort of... stares for a moment before recovering.]

Ahaha, I'm not sure I'm quite that attractive in reality, but I do like what you did with my hair.

Really? Maybe you should style it that way. [/face] Naoki might like it.

Oh, so he told you about us?

[fyulong]

It sorta came out, yeah. It's good that you guys are enjoying yourselves.

... just how much did he tell you about us?

Oh, I don't know. [Noooooot telling.]

[That earns Mikage a laugh.]

Naoki really does know everyone here. But I'm not surprised-- he's a very kind person.

Well, I know him through the Brigade. It's a pretty good way to make friends, actually!

I was interested in joining it myself, but your brigade leader seems to think I'm boring.

[fyulong]

Boring, huh? Well, you do kind of have to impress him to get in. Maybe try giving him some attitude? You're probably too polite about it.

I'm not sure giving him attitude would do anything beyond making him even more annoyed with me than he already is.

[fyulong]

He thought I was pretty boring until I told him off for it. Now I'm in the Brigade.

And just what would your definition of "telling off" be?

You know, asserting yourself! Letting him know he can't push you around!
