[Yeaaaah, Mikage guessed it. He knows Naoki well enough, even after the long absence.]

Heh... well, actually- believe it or not, when I went home, it was only for about an hour at most! I didn't even have time to change. But when I came back it turns out I was gone for a month or something.

It-- wasn't very long for me, either, really. Weird, eh? [Naoki frowns.] I don't think, anyway.

But then, I dunno how long it takes to recreate a world, so. [He divulges this with a tiny smile, something relieved and pleased about it.]

[...He must've misheard that one.]

[A quiet laugh--] Yeah. [Maybe it's a little easier to say, now. Now that everything's happened he'd hoped and strived for.]

That's what I had to do, back home. I had to...fix my world by recreating it.

...Whoa... [Apparently didn't mishear it. Geez.] And you could do that? You had that kind of power?

[Isn't that the sort of thing a god would do? How confusing...]

Well. Everyone said that I couldn't do it, but...

[Naoki grins a bit.] I fought and beat the thing that would recreate the world. And got it to put things back to how they'd been.

Ah-! So that's why you're not all glowy anymore?

Amazing, just amazing! So what kind of world did you make?

Well-- I didn't think it was really right of me to go making a brand new world... I liked my old one, as it was. So, I put it back.

What happened to your world, anyway? Why was it like that?

Ah-- [That is a darker topic and Naoki's expression quiets, goes thoughtful.] It's a bit of a story. Might wanna sit down.

...Sorry, would you... rather not talk about it?

[The last thing he wants to do is upset Naoki during such a happy reunion.]

I don't mind, [sincerely. He doesn't mind telling Mikage, if he wants to know.]

I don't wanna bring you down, though. [Of course this is what he worries about.] It's kind of depressing. Even though it does have a happier ending.

[Pffft. Oh, Naoki. Mikage just smiles faintly, sitting down on the edge of the fountain. He's okay with it if Naoki is.]

Don't worry about that. The happy ending is the part that really matters, after all.

Yeah...that's right. [It doesn't bother Naoki as much--the thought of talking about it now. Maybe because there is actually a happy ending he can tell people. Of course, some things are still too difficult to say, but.

He plops down on the fountain next to Mikage, pressing his fingertips together.] Well... What happened was that my world ended. [...] A couple of people brought about the end of it.

Wh... why would they do that? Was there something wrong with the world, or were they just that sort of people?

[He can't imagine it... it's one thing to end your own life - which is terrible enough - but to want to destroy everyone else, too...?]

They...weren't happy with the world as it was. [Naoki frowns, bringing his folded hands up to his mouth. He thinks that that kind of thought is selfish, above anything. No one person has the right to decide what the world will be...hence why he put it back.]

I heard that it's an inevitable thing, the world ending and being reborn, but I don't know. I was never satisfied with that. [He glances to Mikage out of the corner of his eye.] There was a man named Hikawa. He brought it about-- They called it the "Conception".

"Conception"... [Weird. And freaky. People can just destroy or rebuild the world the way they want? Could that happen anywhere else, or is Naoki's world just special?
